possible HPL influenced story?

i was watching my dvd collection of the land of the lost (1975). the second season episode 2 titled "the zarn" reminded me of the HPL story In the Walls of Eryx. both stories have a maze whose walls are completely invisible. both stories revolve around alien races. and both stories have lizard men.
the original land of the lost are fantastic!
anyway, what do you think?
