The schedule for the H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival - Portland 2011 is now available on the schedule page.

Friday and Saturday activities start at 4pm with author readings and a chance to socialize with guests and attendees at Magnolia's Corner. Theatre doors open at 6 or 6:30 giving you a chance to shop at our wonderful vendors' tables. Things really kick off at 7 with introductions and shorts blocks, followed by Q&A with short film directors. At 9 is a feature film and Q&A with its director. Finally, unwind and socialize and celebrate at Tony Starlight's starting each evening at 11.

It should be a wonderful time and we look forward to seeing you there! Read more

We apologize to all those of you have been trying to email us here at the festival. We've had D.O.S. attacks on several of our email boxes thanks to all those spammers out there. Still getting 1000's of emails. We are blocking IPs and it should settle down. So again sorry if you sent anything in the last couple of weeks and if we haven't responded. cheers

LovecraftShades_me.png Yes the rumors are true... I will be retiring (or going on sabbatical for awhile), this October festival will be my last as a director. I have been running this festival for 15 years and am out of sanity points. So what does this mean? Well Aaron Vanek has started a satellite festival in LA which will become an annual event. The Portland event is in limbo until I can find someone to replace me. Read more

As usual we are running a little behind. But have no fear. Tickets should be going up today for sale through boxofficetickets.com (or this weekend). Notifications for final selections for films will be done today! Director Stuart Gordon is attending and also very likely to be seeing the Darkest of the HIllside Thickets. We also are planing to screen The Whole Wide World at least once during the festival. Stay tuned for more news.

Still recovering after the festival but want to announce the winners officially. We'll be updating the awards section once we've re-coded the awards section.
