About the Festival
The H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival promotes the works of H.P. Lovecraft, literary horror, and weird tales through the cinematic adaptations by professional and amateur filmmakers. The festival was founded in 1995 by Andrew Migliore in the hope that H.P. Lovecraft would be rightly recognized as a master of gothic horror and his work more faithfully adapted to film and television.
The short films playing at the San Pedro 2011 festival, which will be seen and judged by Guillermo del Toro, are:
"Black Goat" by Joseph Nanni
"Call of Nature" by Rick Tillman
"Curse of Yig" by Paul von Stoetzel
"Idle Worship" by Theo Stefanski
"Pickman’s Model" by Michael Shlain
"The Raven" by Christopher Saphire
"The Ritual" by Will Wright
"Shadow of the Unnamable" by Sascha Renninger
"Static Aeons" by Gib Patterson
Thanks to all our entrants, it was very tough to program this block.
Stay tuned for the programming schedule for the 2011 Portland festival.
