Whisper and I’ll Come To You

This 1968 television show was the predecessor of the BBC “A Ghost Story for Christmas” series. Based on a story by M.R. James, Professor Parkins (beautifully played by Micahel Hordern) finds an old whistle while perambulating through a coastal graveyard during a holiday respite. A total skeptic, the results of playing the artifact threaten his sanity. A very Lovecraftian movie that wasn’t authored by him.
