Famous Monsters of Filmland

H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival®

and CthulhuCon

The only festival that understands.

Aaron Vanek

Headshot

Aaron Vanek was one of the first three filmmakers to screen a Lovecraft movie at the HPLFF in 1995. Since then, he has attended every festival but two, and made four other Lovecraftian adaptations, including Return to Innsmouth and Chambers' The Yellow Sign, both of which are distributed by Lurker Films. He is a proud recipient of a "Howie" award for his contributions to Lovecraft cinema, and hopes to keep the horror cosmic—this year, Vanek ran the first H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival® in Los Angeles featuring six of the earliest and best films from the past decade and a half of the Portland fest.
