Adam Niswander
Adam Niswander is the author of The Shaman Cycle, a series of novels telling of a Great Gathering of Native American medicine-people, who are called on to put down ancient Lovecraftian evils brought forth from olden days by careless modern men. The Charm relates the story of a demon dust-devil freed from a centuries-long imprisonment by a careless Arizona archeologist. The Serpent Slayers spins a yarn about the Father-of-All-Serpents, Yig, and his daughter, She, a fifty-foot-long winged serpent. The Hound Hunters, due for publication by Hippocampus Press in 2009, relates the horrors of creatures from another dimension allowed entry into our world through use of a designer-drug called Tohu Bohu, or the Chaos Drug. Waiting in the wings are The War of the Whisperers, about inimical invisible creatures calling themselves the Thule, and The Nemesis of Night, telling the tale of the LIEUW, shape-changing nocturnal creatures who melt if exposed to sunlight, but who can control humans through a form of telepathic mind-control. Adam is also the author of The Sand Dwellers, yet another mythos tale about dessicated bear-like subterranean desert dwellers, a telepathic mutant boy, a top-secret military installation in the Superstition Moutains, and a P.I. named Aiden Mardian. He has also written an Aliester-Crowleyian Witch and Wizard novel titled The Repository, and a short story collection titled Blurring the Edges of Dream. He is currently working on the next Shaman Cycle novel titled The Primal Pipers. He lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with a couple of cats named Fafhrd and The Gray Mouser.
